Hey, I’m Michelle Aiko. I also go by Miga.
I care about creating thoughtfully crafted products. I believe the artifacts we surround ourselves with should be designed to improve lives and uplift the underserved.
I am currently designing on Firstrade's UX team.
Previously, I designed for Yo! Magazine, an online Japanese-American publication that serves as a platform for thought-provoking opinion pieces with a focus on identity and culture.
Before that, I was working as a medical assistant en route to Physician Associate school.
I graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with two degrees: Integrative Human Biology and Global Poverty and Practice.
I draw inspiration from my Japanese and Vietnamese heritage to create pieces of both personal and societal value. I am continuously looking for ways to use my design skills in the healthcare, sustainability, and education spaces to impact marginalized communities.
